Year 7 Retreat

Starting off the morning with the blood pumping through their veins, the Year 7 cohort set out on a little adventure to the Korean church where they would experience their first ever Sancta Maria College retreat.

With a variety of workshops prepared for the students, led by the Year 13 prefects, the Year 7 students started their day. Moving from workshop to workshop, the Drama workshop seemed to shine amongst the rest, for most students.

“I really enjoyed the Drama workshop. I mean, I liked all the other ones but the drama workshop was my favourite. It was fun and I really like the games that we played.”

Re-fuelling with a pizza lunch, the students were then led into a place of peace and reverence to reflect the day’s events by the team from LOGOS. Starting off with a playful skit to revving up the kids with an entertaining chant, the Year 7s were given the opportunity to share their understanding of what it means to be our true selves and why we should always try to be our own, true self all of the time.
The students could not have imagined a better conclusion to such a wonderful day.
