Christ the King Primary School, St Mary’s Avondale, St Therese Primary School, and Sancta Maria College came together to celebrate Catholic Schools’ Day; approximately 400 students from the primary schools joined 65 students from Sancta Maria College. The Year 13 biology students took a trip to Kelly Tarlton’s to observe the astonishing sea life. While looking in awe at the penguins, stingray and shark feed as well as a whole lot more, the students were able to view each animal’s way of behaviour.
Our students and staff in Japan are currently on Shinkansen bound for Tokyo after two days in Osaka and Shin-Osaka exploring the bustling city centre. Students were introduced to the subway system; working out how to get to their destination with the correct train fare. This is in preparation for their much anticipated group navigation of the Tokyo subway network.
