Ange Pierquin of 10LIS has smashed the Speech Competition with his humorous speech about how ‘Too much homework is a pain.’ Ange will now represent the Year 10 group at the Eastern Zone Finals.

A strong forward effort supported by some sparkling passing and running by the back line saw Sancta Maria College 1st XV overcome a powerful Mount Albert Grammar side 24-10 to reach the 1C final.

Elijah Ratu (9DNN) has taken out the Y9 speech competition with a compelling talk on ‘Childhood Myths are Dangerous’. Elijah will now represent his year group at the Eastern Zone Speech Finals.

Though starting off roughly, the U19 Basketball girls managed to finish off the season with 4 consecutive wins under their belt.

The College celebrated the occasion with Mass in the auditorium. Being International Languages Week the Mass also celebrated the many cultures who make up our school community.

Last Friday saw Technology teacher Dr Henderson and eleven students at the Vodafone Events Centre attending the Tiaki Competition; a competition in support of care for the environment.
