Though starting off roughly, the U19 Basketball girls managed to finish off the season with 4 consecutive wins under their belt.

The College celebrated the occasion with Mass in the auditorium. Being International Languages Week the Mass also celebrated the many cultures who make up our school community.

Sancta Maria College marked the beginning of its International Languages Week with flavourful crepes, enjoyable games and exciting prizes.

Fifteen Year 7 and 8 students proudly represented Sancta Maria College at a Critical Thinking workshop hosted by St Cuthbert’s College.

For the third time in just over a week, Sancta Maria headed to the Otara Music and Arts Centre to take part in Stand Up Stand Out.

Last Friday saw Technology teacher Dr Henderson and eleven students at the Vodafone Events Centre attending the Tiaki Competition; a competition in support of care for the environment.

27 of our young orchestral players joined with other Auckland schools as part of the Play in South workshop.

Checklist: turn off all lights, turn off all heaters and definitely dress up in your warmest winter woollies, because on Friday it was SMC’s annual ‘Warm Day!’

To add to our successful Enviroweek, the students were given brown paper bags to decorate and to bring their lunch in.

During Environment Week, Sancta Maria College had the privilege to have Claudia Cairns, our guest speaker from Plastic Diet to come in and speak to us at our school assembly.
