Over the past two terms, the Origami Club, led by Ms Kevern, have been busy folding pieces of paper of a variety of shapes, sizes, colours, and designs, into fancy designs. As the school year comes to an end with the Advent season leading us to Christmas, it is time for the Origami Club to spread Christmas cheer using the Japanese art of Origami.

Orienteering – a fun sport where you run around, hunting for tags and racing other people to collect every tag first. Thanks to Counties Manukau Orienteering, all the Year 7 – 9 students (the Year 10s day was cancelled due to the weather) at SMC got the amazing opportunity to spend a day learning how the sport works.

Hannah Caudy (Year 7) and Laurence Stewart (Year 8) recently had an unforgettable opportunity to participate in a drumming workshop with APO’s principal percussionist Eric Renick.
