Interview with Jake and Ella – our Doody and Frenchy

Jake Featherstone is a Year 13 drama student who has had a passion for performing from a really young age. He has been a drama student at Sancta Maria College for the past 4 years, and is enjoying every aspect of the subject.
Jake tells us, “Doody is a very unique character and when he is with his best friends (Roger and Sonny) there’s no one who will have more fun or get up to more mischief. This is what I can relate to and love about my character.

Science Roadshow – A Huge Success

 

On Monday, the Year 7 and 8 classes enjoyed the Science Roadshow in the school’s auditorium. It was a huge success. Our homeroom (7DNN) went to the auditorium in Period 4. We were joined by a Sancta Maria Primary class and a Year 8 class. We started off with a welcome from the Roadshow presenters and had our first show called “Am I Living?” We learnt about the acronym “MRS GREN” which we already knew about from Term 1 Science.

Ellen Fromont, running with heart

There’s a quote that says, “You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens.” And for Year 12 student, Ellen Fromont, this quote really resonates. Because although her stellar cross country results over the years hasn’t been something she thought she could actually achieve or ever planned to achieve, her can-do approach and willingness to just give it her all without knowing what may happen has been what’s taken her to new and greater heights.
