My name is Aaron Santoso, and I am honoured to serve as Head Boy this year.
A little about me — I’m the youngest in a family of four. I enjoy programming and messing around with my computer, as well as playing music with my friends. Every now and then, I like to play badminton — I’m currently developing a killer smash to destroy my opponents. In my spare time, you’ll usually find me relaxing by playing video games or watching YouTube.
I look forward to contributing to the many events and initiatives in the coming year. I hope to help build up school spirit in our school, creating an environment where everyone feels connected and proud to be part of Sancta Maria College. I also want to inspire others to get involved, try new things, and step out of their comfort zones to make the most of their time here.
For the younger students, I encourage you to get involved in school life as much as possible. Take every opportunity — whether it’s in sports, culture, or leadership. You’ll make memories that you’ll never forget.
Hello, my name is Maia Tay-Morrison, and I am privileged to serve as a Head Girl of Sancta Maria College in 2026. I am a middle child and enjoy playing music and football in my spare time. As a prefect, I am looking forward to getting to know as many new people as possible. I hope that I can continue to cultivate diversity, kindness, and connection within the Sancta Maria College whānau, and look forward to giving back to a community that has provided me with so much.
My advice to other students would be to not shy away from any opportunity and embrace and celebrate your individuality as a gift to be shared with the people around you.
Deputy Head Boy & Girl, Community: Gabriel Heruela and Kiarna Makoare

Throughout my involvement during my time at Sancta Maria College, I’ve come to learn the significance of my own voice. Being blessed with this position, I wish to help other students recognise the strength and power they hold in their voices by being an outlet in providing them with a place to share their own unique stories, experiences and opinions.
Isaiah 6:8 states; “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here I am. Send me!””. If my journey in faith has taught me anything it is to be a servant leader putting the others before myself. To my fellow students, I encourage you to do the same, letting all that you do be done with love and reason as though serving the Lord our God.
Hello, I am Gabriel Heruela your Deputy Head of Community, along with Kiarna. I am very honoured and grateful to be in this role, and I hope I can serve and participate regularly within the school and wider school community. As the youngest in my family, being in this position is quite different from my regular life, however I do enjoy getting to know new people and seeing everyone around the school.
Something I enjoy doing is connecting with others through music. As I am involved in multiple musical groups both in and outside school, it’s a great way to build new relationships and friendships. I also regularly play video games and watch sports such as basketball and football.
If you ever see me around, don’t be afraid to say ‘hi’ as I’m always keen to chat!
Deputy Head Boy & Girl, Special Character: Joshua Ernstzen and Jehaziel Meer

I am especially looking forward to hosting the Pompallier Shield this year as well as the many opportunities to serve others through my role.
My advice for younger students is to have fun, be diligent, take care of yourself and your relationship with God! Make the most out of college years and be grateful!!
Hi, my name is Joshua and I am one of your Deputy Head Special Character Prefects for 2026, alongside Jehaziel. I am a person who enjoys football, meeting new people, learning how I can support others, and participating in youth groups.
This year as a Special Character Prefect I am eager to get all students involved in all special character groups, whether it is serving in the Holy Mass or participating in Young Vinnies. Our Catholic Faith is the foundation of both our school and daily lives and having the ability, alongside the opportunity, to serve is truly a gift from God.
A piece of advice to everyone is to share your gifts and talents with our school community and with everyone we encounter. Through this we can work towards our mission as children of God, so get involved, share your blessings and do not be afraid. God Bless, Joshua Ernstzen
