A tough weekend on the netball courts

 

Saturday’s blue sky and bright sun proved to be the best weather conditions for all those girls playing netball at Howick Pakuranga Netball Club (HPNC) and AMI (Auckland Netball). The first day of the netball season saw all Sancta Maria College teams playing other schools and clubs. The team that stood out this weekend was SMC College 3, winning against Pakuranga United C2.

The results from Saturday 4 May are listed below:

SMC Premier – Premier Section A grade – Lost against Mellons Bay S1 – 59-20

SMC College 1 – College 1 grade – Lost against Mellons Bay C1 – 39-14

SMC College 2 – College 3 grade – Lost against Sunnyhills C3 – 22-21

SMC College 3 – College 4 grade – Won against Pakuranga United C2 – 26-13

SMC College 4 – College 4 grade – Drew with Shelly Park C4 – 17-17

SMC College 5 – College 4 grade – Lost to Elim C3 – 18-30

SMC College 6 – College 5 grade – Lost to Wakaaranga C3 – 9-28

SMC College 7 – College 6 grade – Lost to Howick C4 – 17-19

SMC College 8 – College 7 grade – Lost to Willowbank C3 – 6-17

SMC College 9 – College 7 grade – Lost to Elim C5 – 9-24

As the teams continue to practice and train throughout the weeks ahead, they will be looking to improve and achieve better results.
