APO violinist works with College chamber group

A group of students from the College chamber group were lucky enough to receive mentoring from Rachel Moody, one of the Auckland Philharmonia’s violin players.

The Auckland Philaharmonia Orchestra is a leading New Zealand orchestra performing critically acclaimed concerts throughout the year. Our concert band has been practicing ‘Dear Theodosia’, a song from the Broadway musical ‘Hamilton’, since last year, and the opportunity to receive professional advice and mentoring was very much appreciated.

By the end of the two hour Sunday rehearsal, the performance was much improved – from the singers to the pianist to the string players. Thank you to Rachel Moody from the APO for taking the time to find time in her busy schedule to come and mentor us.
