Ash Wednesday and Opening Mass

Kley Ninofranco

On 14 February 2024, the day of love, the inaugural Ash Wednesday and Opening mass took place in our school auditorium, marking the start of the Lenten season. Fr. Sherwin together with our new school Chaplin, Fr. Larry, joined hands and led the annual mass. As the new school year commences, the mass also showcased the passing of the candle from the two youngest students in the college to the new head prefects, Avram and Jemma, as they embark on their journey in leading the student body this year.

To end the mass, we all joined in unison in blessing the newly appointed prefects, asking Jesus for guidance and strength in their future endeavors with ‘Faith as their compass.’

The students were given an opportunity to strengthen their faith and give thanks to Jesus for the blessings, He has given us in this time of Lent.
