Paihia, the area where it all began. From the Treaty of Waitangi, to James Busby, to the United tribes flag, to Pompallier House and three preserved battle grounds, all and more were available to the Year 13 History Students on their History trip.

On Friday the Year 9 students had their retreat day, going to the Korean Catholic Church in Flat Bush.

As the sport continues to grow at Sancta Maria College, there is a corresponding wave of success from our players. Most recently through one of the Year 7 & 8 teams who placed 1st in their C grade during an Eastern Zone Competition held at Mission Heights Junior College.

After a slow start saw Auckland Grammar take an early lead the 5th Grade rugby team tackled their way back into the game.

Clive Luna and Roanne Apalisok are two up and coming badminton stars whose sporting success will amaze you. From just taking up the sport for the pure enjoyment and euphoria that it provides, to now solidifying their places in the top 2 rankings in badminton singles in the country.

Students, caregivers and teachers gathered at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to celebrate the Catholic Caring Foundation’s Annual Caring Mass, celebrated by our Bishop, Patrick Dunn.

This year, Head Girl and contemporary dancer, Gemma Deftereos, Year 13 Hip hop dancer, Nathaniel Vaimoso and I had the privilege to put together Sancta Maria College’s 2017 Stage Challenge Performance.

In the last week of Term 2, all the hard work and time put in to prepare for J-Rock really paid off, with Sancta Maria College winning 3 Awards for ‘choreography’, ‘soundtrack’ and ‘set design and function’ with our theme ‘Never Give Up’.
