Catherine Pask, Healthy Schools coordinator and Kate Smallman, Diabetes specialist nurse visited the Year 13 Biology students to teach them about the causes and current treatments for Diabetes. The students are completing an internal assessment based on the interpretation of glucoregulation.
Mrs Smallman shared her knowledge about the prevalence, mechanisms and actions in response to Diabetes type 1 and type 2. The opportunity to gain a different perspective on glucoregulation helped the students to prepare themselves for their internal task.
