Yesterday the school had the pleasure of having Julia Harrison speak to us about the lockdown procedure. This is being tested at school today during period three, a kind of simulation where the participants will include the students, teachers, police and even parents.
A group of Sancta Maria College students from the World Vision 40 Hour Famine Student Committee were selected to attend the World Vision Youth Conference on Monday. This event was held at the Vodafone Events Centre and is a leadership event for secondary school students. The conference is an opportunity for ‘young people to develop into global citizens that are able to respond to the world around them.’

This coming Friday at lunchtime students and staff are encouraged to bring their teddy bears as we hold a ‘Bears and Prayers’ session in support of students in the United States affected by gun violence. This will involve students participating in uplifting prayers and Christian music in the courtyard.
In our first major musical outing of the year, our Senior Choir (‘Sanctus’) and two of our Chamber Ensembles paid a visit to our near neighbours at the Summerset Retirement Home.
