After the Enviro Team joined Enviroschools, we had our first project with them on May 24, 2019. The focus of this project was about the environment, trees, and wetlands. In this case, we were planting trees behind Sancta Maria Primary, while also planting beside Chapel Rd and Te Irirangi Dr.

Saturday marked an amazing netball day and the fourth week of the competition round, with perfect playing conditions. The sun was out and Sancta Maria Netball Club girls were ready to bring their A game to the courts. The teams did well and continue to show improvement as the week’s progress.

It was another glorious day for rugby on Saturday as our 1st XV had their first away game at Sacred Heart College. Unfortunately, the score line favoured Sacred Heart 53-22 at full time. We let in a few early tries at the start of the game but at the break the boys regrouped and scored 3 very good tries in the second half.

The environment is indeed in danger, with our native bush and fish species being threatened. Well, the Year 7s of 2019 decided to contribute and help save Mother Earth by dressing in their planting gear and going out to plant some trees.
