On Friday, a team of 7 gymnasts went to Howick Gym to compete in the SEZ gymnastics. The Year 7 and 8s have been training since term 2. They did three apparatus: floor, beam and vault.
The competition was very exciting because it was the Year 7s first time at the event. Two competitors did themselves proud. Mikaela Bangalan came 5th and Jack Jane came 2nd in the individual competition.
The competitors were:
Year 7: Mikaela Bangalan, Meara Magsalay-Downie, Patricia Ocampo, Malaika Mashego and Maria Del Mar Maldonado Diaz
Year 8: Cyprus Causer and Jack Jane
