Hitting the tourist trail

The group geared up for even more walking as this was to be the most tourist attraction packed day yet.

The group first went to the magnificent Louvre museum. While there are enough paintings and sculptures there to last a lifetime the group had to pack that all into two short hours to tour the museum that was once a palace.

The group split into pairs and everyone immediately made their way to the widely known Mona Lisa. Luckily, as we got to the museum early, the group was able to get in the majority of looking at the well known paintings before it became packed with tourists.

With another picnic near the Palace the group made their way towards the Arc de Triomphe, with a pitstop at the Place de la Concord on the way to have an orbit around the ferris wheel, giving a 360 view of the city.

The students and teachers then continued their pilgrimage to the Arc de Triomphe. The group finally made it to look at the monument that was far larger than we had realized, as it was nearly 50 metres high.

While returning back to the hostel the group had a small shopping splurge along the Champs-Elysées where they payed homage to the policemen killed days before. Once some retail therapy was pursued the group rested up again on their last night in the city of stars.
