It took Sancta Maria College’s community to make it happen!

Saturday was another success for ‘Team Hospice’. Dr Laux and her team reported for duty at Bunnings Botany, Ti Rakau Drive to sell baked items in order to fundraise funds to continue 11CLE’s 2018 legacy: making 100 Christmas parcels for volunteers working at Totara hospice.

This time, the bake sale was sponsored by Wild Wheat bakery, Howick, who donated the shop’s end-of-day products towards the sale. Parents, teachers and students were also busy from Thursday night baking items for the weekend sale. 12LIS would like to thank Mrs McCreath, Mrs Du Bloom, all the parents and their relatives, and students who dropped in on Saturday to help in many ways towards this cause. Some of them came to deliver their homemade baking, others came to purchase items, help to set up the stall and to sell on the day.

The sale was a success by collecting just over a thousand dollars towards this initiative. It really took the Sancta Maria College community to make it happen! Thank you all for your support.
