Teachers from all over New Zealand have travelled to Sancta Maria College for a two-day conference, focused on Kahui Ako leadership.
Kahui Ako are the Communities of Learning in which primary, intermediate and secondary schools collaborate closely to improve student outcomes for their learners.
Sancta Maria College is part of the Eastern Christian Kahui Ako along with Elim Christian College, St Marks Catholic Primary School, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School, Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School and Kingsgate School. This group has been working together for nearly two years.
The conference has been an opportunity for teachers from Auckland, Wellington and schools from the South Island to share their experiences, thinking and create future design for their Kahui Ako, and has been a rich sharing experience.
