Five students qualified for the sprint finals held at Massey High School on Sunday morning and then at Orewa College in the afternoon.
Those that attended were Alex McGivern, Harrison Edwards, Ryan Edwards in Intermediate (Y10/11) grade and Alicia McGivern and Leilani Davies in Y7/8. The event was hard running with two races, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Both times are combined for your final result.
Alicia just missed out on 3rd place overall by 2secs, finishing 4th overall in Auckland for Y7/8 girls and Harrison came 9th overall in the Intermediate boys’ section. A great achievement for a Y10 competing mostly against boys a year older.
