Three Sancta Maria College students, Kelly Mascarenhas and Sydney Causer (pictured) and Katrina Chan, represented our school at the Race Unity speech competition, making it through to the regional semi-final.

The competition is orgainised by the Baha’i Community and sponsored by NZ Police, Human Rights Commission, the Office of Ethnic Communities, Hedi Moani Charitable Trust, Multicultural NZ and Speech NZ.

The theme this year is ‘Speaking for Justice, Working for Unity’. Ms Du-Bloom was present at all the stages to support and encourage the students.
