School Ball a magical night

May 7 is the day many Seniors have been looking forward to since the very beginning of the year. It’s not just because it’s Saturday, but because it is our annual Sancta Maria College ball.

The excitement has been building since the date of the ball was announced and after months of planning their outfits and organising the event, the day finally arrived.

Sancta Maria College’s Year 12 and 13 students ditched their school uniforms and attended the very formal, annual school ball.

The event was held at Ellerslie Events Centre. The ball committee, consisting of Morgan Williams, Stephanie Santana-Drago, Savannah Roque, Brunelle Dias and Niel Kulkarni, had transformed the third floor of the venue into a Japanese-themed location.

Everything was perfect, turning every boy and girl into a prince and a princess for the night. The Ball Royalties were announced after the scrumptious dinner. The Year 12 Princess and Prince were awarded to Victoria Brown and Paul Ngan Woo, respectively, while the Year 13 Queen and King were awarded to Michaela Ralph-Smith and Julian Raad.

After this, a large group of Year 13 students were finally able to show the rest of the guests the waltz and the tango they had been working very hard on for the past two months. Many others joined them on the dance floor and danced their hearts out until the night ended.

A huge thanks to the Ball Committee and the staff who were involved with organising the ball. Everyone who attended had the most wonderful and magical night!
