Teamwork saves the Butterfly Garden bake sale

Another great success for the Enviro team. On Saturday, they fundraised $600.70 for the completion of the butterfly garden which is already taking shape at school. Mikayla Killip, Elijah Gepiga, Zeth Oliver, Karl Guarin and Martin Cheung took this opportunity to fulfil their school service hours.

From Thursday, parents, teachers, students, ex-students of the school were already busy baking for the bake sale that took place at Bunnings Botany. On Friday night, exceptional help was received from last minute bakers! A special thank you to Abigail Spence, Jenna Aspeling and Felix Cheng and his mum for stepping in.

During the term, at school, with the help of volunteer students and teachers, the Enviro team has prepared the grounds for the seeds to be sown. This will happen in the next few weeks so more hands-on-deck are needed. The Enviro team is also interested to hear from people who could help with lavender cuttings that can be used as a wind shield border for the garden.

Thank you so much to Bunnings Botany for their continued support and to all those who baked, attended the sale or visited the stall on Saturday.
