Young Vinnies’ leadership team aiming high

Members of our Young Vinnies eagerly signed up to be involved in rest home visits. This is just one of the many activities being arranged by the group leaders as part of a very busy schedule for 2019.

This year, the school is fortunate enough to have six leaders for the Young Vinnies. This talented team of young leaders is: Patricia Dela Cruz, Tahlisa Stevens, Johnny El-Boutty, Patrick Florendo, Erica Lim and Adam Martis.

Their roles as this year’s Young Vinnies leaders is to be able to provide the students of the school with a wide-range of service opportunities. Not only do they want students to experience service in the wider-community, but they would also like to make students aware that there is a wider meaning behind all the service they participate in.

They have many goals and aspirations for the Young Vinnies team for 2019, and some of their main goals for this year is to keep the commitment up and to make sure they always have activities and service opportunities for all year groups throughout the school.

The Young Vinnies Leaders have a lot planned this year, including continuing their rest home visits. Since their focus for this term is to highlight the issue of homelessness, they will be conducting blanket drives and introducing the homelessness retreat – which is coming up this term.

We wish them all the best this year and we hope that they are successful in reaching their goals.
