The auditorium was soon filled with eager Year 6s from the College’s main feeder schools. It was the transition day, and they were all getting ready to go on tours and take part in a Sancta Maria College Quiz.
Many Year 7 and 8s led the tours, showing the soon to be Year 7s around our beautiful school. We got to know the Year 6s and taught them everything we knew about Sancta Maria College. From the olive grove to the art rooms to the gym, their heads were soon equipped with everything they needed to know to start intermediate.
After the tour, there was a presentation giving the students even more information – and then came the best part. Morning tea was a chance for the Year 6s to test out the confidence course, a new adventure for them.
Next year, they will be joining us as Year 7s – and thanks to this Transition Day, they will surely be ready for intermediate.
