We started our summer holiday this year perfectly – just a stone’s throw from Whangarei on the Tutukaka peninsula at Pataua North.

Sunny weather, blue sky and a clear breeze proved to be the perfect conditions for the school’s annual Athletics day competition. Excited students participated in both field and track events, representing their house hoping that they would win the athletics competition.
As of Monday, February 25, due to the volume of traffic at the start and end of the school day, a traffic management plan has been implemented to ensure that the flow of traffic continues with the least traffic build up during these heavy volume times.
Academic success was celebrated at assembly Thursday morning. At NCEA Level 1: 60 students received a Silver award, 41 Gold and 3 gained Scholar Excellence Endorsed. At Level 2: 47 received silver, 36 Gold and 7 earned Scholar Excellence Endorsed. Level 3 saw 48 students gain silver, 27 Gold, and 4 achieved Scholar Excellence Endorsed.
