With Feast Day being a particularly eventful day for the students, the festivities did not end with the Mass. After morning tea, the Year 7 to 10s dispersed into year levels around the school to engage in a variety of activities that the Year 13 prefects and teachers had planned.

By beginning with a grand welcome from the school’s Kapa Haka group and later becoming an audience to spectacular musical pieces by the school choir, Feast Day mass was filled with melodic songs and numerous skilled performances. However, what made Feast Day Mass so exceptional was the large group of students and teachers who were Baptised, Confirmed or received their first Holy Communion.

On Friday 1 June, the group, I Am Unbreakable, came to talk to the students. The message was clear: to create awareness about depression and anxiety and how we can get help. The I Am Unbreakable tour goes around schools in New Zealand spreading this message.
