Last Wednesday, our Year 12s were enlightened about the exploitation of young children, particularly girls in various parts of the world.
Child Rescue speaker, Stacey Mitchell, came to talk and help raise awareness about the serious issue of sex trafficking which is happening around the world, most especially in South East Asia and in Central America. Stacey has been speaking at schools around New Zealand helping to gain support and raise our awareness of what is happening in our world.

As part of the Year 12 Core Physical Education course, a group of more than 150 students represented Sancta Maria College in the community at Paradice Ice Skating, Gravity Trampoline Park and Xtreme Bowling. On Wednesday the Year 8 students went on Retreat. It was a special time to reflect on their faith and thoughts. The theme for the Retreat was “Friend in me” and the students did a lot of activities relating to the theme. The activities consisted of: Building bridges, an Infinity War Maze and making an anchor.
