The Year 7 and 8 teachers kept busy on Wednesday evening meeting the parents of the intermediate group.
The evening started out with a gathering in the auditorium where Mrs Kilpatrick greeted the parents. The class teachers then took them to their child’s class where they learned about what was expected, how to use school resources and what the general routines were.
The teachers asked the parents to help volunteer for camp and school trips – something they are sure to enjoy.
‘Meet the Teacher’ was an opportunity for parents to meet each other and to learn all about life at Sancta Maria College for the intermediate students. There was a huge turnout – and this evening was a success for all the teachers, who got to meet most of their students’ families for the first time.
The parent/student/teacher interviews will be held on March 5 and 6. This will be a chance for teachers and parents to meet once again for individual discussion.
