The purpose of Young Vinnies is to make people feel like a million bucks. However, in order to make people feel like a million bucks, YOU have to feel like a million bucks first.’
The things you’ll feel when you first enter a Young Vinnies’ meeting is a feeling of comfort, of love, and a powerful purpose to help other people. These were the feelings that the seven of us seniors felt when we arrived at our first Young Vinnies Executive meeting for the year.
Not only was love passed around the meeting, friendliness from new and old faces and food was distributed too! Games were also played to ‘break the ice’ between the 12 schools that came together.
However, as the meeting continued on, we slowly got to the core of the meeting and the central purpose of being a Young Vinnies’ leader: to love and serve others, and to love and serve God.

As leaders, we are called to inspire people, but in order to do that, we must fix ourselves first. This is out starting point for the year, and as the year goes by, we hope that the Young Vinnies group will be able to grow even more – from the fruitful group it already is within our school, to be even stronger and more vital!
