Thursday saw a representative from the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) visit our school to inspire our Year 13s to consider tertiary study at their institute. Thanks to Mrs Rogers, who organised this session, a group of Year 13 students were introduced to the subjects, scholarships, accommodation and other activities available at AUT.

Sancta Maria College runs an Anime club which is an opportunity for Anime fans around the school to express their love towards Anime by gathering every Friday lunch time, and spending time together to watch not only their favourite Anime shows, but also be introduced to new and exciting Anime.
In support of the trip to Samoa, which is happening in the July holidays, the Samoan group kicked off the fundraising day by performing a song for the College at assembly on Tuesday. This was just the start of a successful day, which, with a lunch time sausage sizzle, raised $2200 towards the trip.

Last Friday, 16 students attended the Epro8 Challenge. This is an engineering, problem solving and innovation challenge that requires students to compete against other schools in numerous tasks. This competition was an enjoyable experience for all the students and challenged them to think outside the box.
