The SEZ Gymnastics held earlier this year saw Jack Jane place second, which qualified him for the Inter Zone Gymnastics Championships where he did amazingly well, placing 1st. His favourite part was “Having fun and getting first place,” he says. Jack has been doing gymnastics for the past 3 or 4 years with his club. Earlier this week Jack also won the gold medal at the AIMS Games.

The third day of the AIMS games for our netballers was action packed. The first game for Sancta was a close one, Kristin school won by one point. The score was 14-15. For the second game at 2 o’clock, Sancta beat Whakawareware, 18-12. The final game for the day was against Omokoroa Point school and we had a very good win by 25 points, the score 32-7.

AIMS Gymsports - Gold for Jack

Jack Jane competed in the Mens Artistic Twisters. He scored 9.350 on the mat, 9.80 on the vault and 9.300 on the floor. With a total score of 28.450 taking out our 1st Gold medal for 2019!!!! What an achievement well done to coach and mother, Cara McCarthy. Jack was up against 17 other competitiors. He is pushing for another medal today in the Mens Tumbling Twisters. Good Luck Jack.
